Hagan, Rinehart and Connolly Pediatricians is a small private pediatric medical home in the heart of Burlington, VT with a mission to provide the best possible family-centered health care through accessible coordinated service, continuous efforts at quality improvement, and active engagement with our community.
Our team of pediatricians, pediatric nurse practitioners, nurses, lactation specialists, care coordinator and affiliated mental health professionals offers comprehensive services to nurture families as we grow together.
We believe prevention is the best medicine. As such we are firmly committed to protecting children through immunizations. We also believe that when a child becomes ill, she should be cared for that same day by providers who know her well.
We are strongly committed to advancing pediatric care in our office and in our local and national communities. Dr. Hagan is the co-editor of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ text, Bright Futures: Guidelines for Health Supervision of Infants, Children, and Adolescents. This publication uses evidence and expert consensus to establish the guidelines for the practice of general pediatrics, and has been chosen by congress as the national standard of care. Dr. Hagan is currently one of the state’s experts in child abuse medicine. Dr. Rinehart is a national leader in the Medical Home movement, which aims to improve comprehensive care for children with special health care needs. She is also the Vice President of the VT Chapter of the AAP. Dr. Connolly serves on the Vermont Children’s Hospital Newborn Nursery Quality Assurance Committee. Ashley Boyd volunteers as a nurse at a Muscular Dystrophy Association camp. Maryann Lisak uses her experience in neonatal medicine and supplemental training in child and adolescent mental health to enhance her patient care.
We are attending clinicians at the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital where we care for our newborns and for our older children who have become ill. Our physicians are teaching faculty at the University of Vermont Medical School. Our nurse practitioners have been teaching faculty for the graduate program at the University of Vermont School of Nursing. We often have students and residents in our office learning from our families.
We appreciate your interest in our practice, and we are grateful to the families who already call us their children’s medical home. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, or to be introduced to our practice.
